Frequently Asked Questions:
(Yes, FAQS)

Who can start a debate?
Anyone! Simply suggest a new debate and it'll be ready in a day. Beware, suggestions can be vetoed through a majority in this timeframe.

Who can participate in a debate?
Anyone can participate in public debates, simply join FinalDebate.com (it's free!). You can also participate in private debates by invitation from the group admin.

How do I share a debate?
Easy, use the Facebook "Share" and Twitter "Tweet" buttons as well as the invite-by-email button on any debate.

What are the rules for debating?
No rules, other than keep it clean. All styles welcome but profanity isn't cool.

When does a debate end?
On the end date of the debate.

Who wins a debate?
Simple majority, but it's not that simple. The winning choice includes the strongest arguments, which are rated by your cohorts. And best arguments float to the top. You can re-debate a topic at any time.

What does the answer of a debate look like?
Good question - the winning choice as supported by the arguments in the strongest rated posts.

What are Promotional, Sponsored, and Social Media Debates, and how do I get one?
These are high-visibility, value-added debates available to anyone or any group while suggesting a debate. Use these to highlight and brand your debates as well as exponentially increase your debate's visibility.

What is a Private Group and how do I get one?
TThis is a closed group of members in order to control participation (e.g., companies, organizations, individuals with confidential material). Use the lefthand link, once logged in, to apply for a private debate group.
